
Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger has welcomed his second child.
The football star, 28, shared the news with his fans on Instagram on Thursday as he revealed he’d named the newborn Aaliyah Trophy Rüdiger.
Rudiger’s news comes just days after Chelsea made history by triumphing over Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League, lifting the prestigious trophy after a tense final in Porto.
Rudiger, who welcomed his first child last year, share an image cradling his new bundle of joy, penning the caption: ‘Alhamdulillah for everything – God always has a better plan than we do !!!
His post was soon flooded with congratulatory messasges from his fans and team-mates, with former Blues star Cesc Fàbregas writing: ‘Congrats my man. God bless you all.’
Chelsea legend Didier Drogba added: ‘More than a champions league #congrats my brother.’
On Saturday, Chelsea stunned Manchester City in a 1-0 victory in the Champions League final at the Estádio do Dragão stadium in Porto.
Kai Hevertz netted the winner for the west London team with a stellar goal just before half time, with a tense 45 minutes following that saw Chelsea hold onto their lead before the final whistle sealed their victory.
Around 12,000 fans were in attendance for the all-English final in Porto and roughly half of that number stayed inside the stadium despite a 10:30pm curfew in the city, as supporters sought to join in with the scenes.
