 I always like to hear about football managers who are heavily involved in training sessions. I know Sir Alex Ferguson decided to do it to a lesser extent later on in his career, but that was because he could after laying down his foundations over a long period of time.

With Erik ten Hag, it looks like we’ve got a hands-on coach.


Sources have been impressed by his ‘strictness’ early on and you can see from the footage below he’s not afraid to lead drills on the training ground
